Mr. Tandin Wangchuk,   Founding Partner

Mr. Tandin Wangchuk is the founding partner and Managing Partner at Nubyul Law, a premier law firm in Bhutan specializing in business law, contract law, and foreign direct investment (FDI). With extensive experience as a legal consultant for international clients, Mr. Wangchuk has played a pivotal role in advising corporations, foreign investors, and enterprises on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and contract negotiations.

A graduate of Jigme Singye Wangchuck School of Law, Mr. Wangchuk holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Postgraduate Diploma in National Law (PGDNL). Since obtaining his bar certificate, he has been at the forefront of providing strategic legal advice for business ventures, public and private contracts, and corporate restructuring projects. His expertise lies in drafting and reviewing complex contracts, conducting legal due diligence, and facilitating FDI incorporation in Bhutan.

Mr. Wangchuk’s experience includes spearheading legal due diligence for large projects and guiding multinational corporations through Bhutan’s evolving business environment. His focus on risk mitigation, contract management, and corporate compliance makes him a trusted advisor to clients navigating complex regulatory frameworks.

In addition to his private sector work, Mr. Wangchuk has contributed to the legal landscape through policy drafting, arbitration, and litigation. His background includes externships at leading Bhutanese legal consultancies, where he honed his skills in policy analysis, and arbitration.

Mr. Sangay Dorji,  Founding Partner

Mr. Sangay Dorji is the founding partner of Nubyul Law, a leading law firm in Bhutan specializing in dispute resolution, litigation, arbitration, and legal representation. As a certified member of the Bar Council of Bhutan, Mr. Dorji has earned a reputation for his exceptional skills in resolving complex legal disputes and representing clients in high-stakes cases across various sectors.

A graduate of Jigme Singye Wangchuck School of Law with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Postgraduate Diploma in National Law (PGDNL), Mr. Dorji began his career as an extern at the Office of the Attorney General (OAG). There, he played an instrumental role in prosecution, drafting chargesheets, rebuttals, legal memorandums, and judgment enforcement. His experience includes negotiating settlements between victims and incarcerated individuals and advising government agencies on legal compliance. He was also involved in reviewing the OAG’s Due Diligence Manual and creating legal resources for district legal officers, further solidifying his expertise in legal advisory and dispute management.

Mr. Dorji expanded his arbitration and litigation experience at Nyindha Law Firm, where he worked on significant construction contract disputes and civil litigation cases. His proficiency in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) is enhanced by his completion of professional-level courses in mediation and negotiation, allowing him to facilitate peaceful settlements and reduce litigation burdens for clients.

In addition to his work in private practice, Mr. Dorji is committed to pro bono legal services and leads initiatives that provide legal representation to underrepresented communities and individuals. His leadership in pro bono advocacy underscores his belief in equitable access to justice and reflects his dedication to social responsibility in legal practice.
